Morriston United Bowls Club is an outdoor flat green bowls club with a long and proud tradition. The club was founded in 1913 and is affiliated to Swansea Bowls Association (SBA) and Welsh Bowls Association (WBA).

This site is to provide visitors and club members with information and news about the club. We also have a club
forum so please pop in and say hello.

New Members Needed!
 
We are currently searching for new players of any age or ability, including absolute beginners to the game.

The club’s summer programme, from April to September, offers an extensive range of matches against other bowls clubs, as well as competitions.

Club News

12.10.09

The clubs AGM meeting will be on Sunday 25TH October at Swansea Indoor Bowls Club starting at 11.30.  During this meeting the 2010 League Captain and selection team will be chosen so it is important that all club members attended!

The outdoor season has now ended until April 2010. Good luck to all our club members playing Indoors.

Well done to the Double 4's player on winning the final with a 42-32 victory over Cwmfelin at a sun soaked Victoria Park.

Morriston Park Info

 

Morriston Park was once the estate of Sir John Morris, the industrialist who came to Swansea in 1926 to start the copper works. The stone cottages built for his workers laid out the initial streets of Morris Town.

 

Its an excellent park with a diverse range of facilities which appeal to all ages, from feeding the ducks to playing bowls.

The park contains walking trails which surround a duck pond and wildlife area.

 

Directions


From M4, J46 take Morriston exit (A48/Clasemont Road). Continue to mini roundabout. Turn right onto Vicarage Road. Take second right onto Harry Street. The park is straight ahead.
